Dariush Mehrjui's 1th movie, Pari, is the predictable continuation of his new style after Hamoon, Banu and Sarah. Pari is particularly in some ways similar to Hamoon. The main theme of this film is still the same confusion and intellectual disillusionment with which the protagonist in Hamoon is preoccupied.The film's story is about a young girl, Pari, who is bored with the world around her. She decides to follow the footsteps of her elder brother, Assad, a seemingly ascetic who had committed suicide. Her other brother who has left behind this stage of life and has reached some sort of a mental balance tries to help Pari towards some sort of a adjustment balance.

Before long Banoo has other boarders, including the couple's runaway daughter and her two children, and their half-blind grandfather. The empty house is now full of human activity and Banoo couldn't be happier sharing their mundane pleasures. But her pleasure is short-lived. One night she catches the old man and an accomplice making off with the family heirlooms and then she discovers that someone killed her cat. Once again Banoo has come to a fork in life's road.
SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE

In this well-conceived Elizabethan comedy, writers Tom Stoppard and Marc Norman ask the question: who was William Shakespeare's muse? The answer: Viola de Lesseps, a young noblewoman who dreams of acting on a man's stage. The screenwriters deliver a cleverly crafted scenario which beautifully illustrates both the early aspirations of the playwright, and a glimpse into the culture of Elizabethan theater. Colorful characters, like the Globe theater owner Henslow (played by Geoffrey Rush), the lead player in the troupe (Ben Affleck), and the Queen herself (Judi Dench), give the cast charm, wit, and feasibility.
